Conrad was only a month away from finishing school and then he was going to be out of this backwoods Arkansas town. He hated living like his family did, and he knew with his grades and the scholarship he already had that he would go to college and leave this place in his past as he made a good, clean life for himself.

Conrad’s uncles didn’t like much like the way he seemed to think he was better than them. His dad had been the same way. So they dug up the family spell book and cast a curse on their nephew to bring him down to their level of filth.
